As a Risk Manager in the UK Risk Office, you will provide professional risk judgment that enables business partners to tackle major business challenges. In this role you will lean into your analytical and problemâsolving skills by developing and deploying innovative solutions to mitigate risks, and grow your strategic and influencing skills as you create and implement risk strategies that enable the Company to win in the market. You will create order out of complexity and uncertainty and enable confident, dataâinspired decisionâmaking.
In a crossâfunctional, collaborative environment that values unique perspectives, rewards innovation and challenges the statusâquo, you will work closely with senior business and riskâoffice leaders, Marketing & Analytics, compliance, legal, and Operational Risk Management.
What You Will Do
- Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, products, services, and risk profile.
- Identify and assess the impact of regulatory changes on business objectives and risk appetite through Enterprise Risk Assessments.
- Analyse data to proactively identify risks and trends and provide insights that support internal customers in decisionâmaking.
- Provide guidance and advice to business partners on implementing risk policies and programs.
- Drive collaboration between risk, compliance, legal, and other business support functions.
- Ensure independent escalation of riskâmanagement gaps, issues, and concerns to executive management, including emerging risks and regulatory focus areas.
- Identify opportunities to improve riskâmanagement practices and develop solutions to eliminate waste and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Drive containment and remediation of process breakdowns in conjunction with compliance, legal and business process teams.
- Support M&A during audits and regulatory exams; lead key riskâmitigation and remediation activities.
- Communicate risk topics to business and functional stakeholders using strong written and verbal skills.

Where and How You'll Work
This is a permanent position based in the Nottingham offices. We have a hybrid working model, giving you flexibility to work from our offices and from home. You'll be based in Nottingham 3 days a week (TuesâThu) and have flexible arrangements as appropriate.
