The role adds significant value to Finance’s partnering with other areas of the business, by supporting senior business partners in producing compelling analysis that is shared with key stakeholders. The role is responsible for delivering regular reporting requirements, insightful analysis, process enhancement across our team and partnership with stakeholder teams across the UK and US.
What you’ll be doing:
- Synthesising and simplifying financial and non-financial data
- Supporting impactful pieces of analysis that drive finance and wider business insights
- Contributing to ad hoc requests from leadership
- Assisting FP&A in developing reporting to facilitate monitoring and communication of performance against targets or to support review of outlooks (i.e. forecasts) and budgets
- Ensuring all month‑end activity is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Streamlining processes by finding automation wins or easier ways of doing things
- Driving forward process enhancement‑related activities for the benefit of the department
- Working with team members to contribute to monthly financials review (MFR) meetings, Annual Budgets, and/or other reporting requirements
How you’ll be doing it:
- Competent use of all systems and applications relevant to the required outputs of the role (e.g. OneStream, Snowflake, Workday, GSuite, Microsoft Office)
- Leveraging large datasets and bringing together different sources of data to bring insights to the business
- Investigating new technologies and tools and supporting process improvement workstreams
- Pushing the envelope of our capabilities via new data and automation
- Collaborating across finance teams to support delivery of impactful analysis to key stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Strong analytical skills – overall story, accuracy, spotting errors and asking the right questions
- Strong technical skills (e.g. familiarity with python, sql, some coding language experience)
- Functional knowledge of accounting principles (e.g. P&L, budgets & forecasting, month‑end processes)
- Communication – within and outside Finance. Tailoring written and verbal communication as appropriate
- Relationship building and stakeholder management with teams internal and external to Finance
- Ability to coordinate a complex set of inputs with different drivers, timelines and priorities and bring it together in a story
- Continuous improvement and change‑agility mindset
Where and how you'll work:
This is a permanent position and can be based in our Nottingham or London office. Our hybrid working model offers flexibility to work from our offices and from home. We are primarily in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We are open to flexible arrangements that suit your needs.
What’s in it for you:
- High performers receive strong and diverse career progression, with extensive training programmes.
- Immediate access to core benefits including a pension scheme, bonus, generous holiday entitlement and private medical insurance.
- Flexible benefits such as season‑ticket loans, cycle‑to‑work schemes and enhanced parental leave.
- Open‑plan workspaces with facilities such as a serviced gym, subsidised restaurant, mindfulness and music rooms (Nottingham) and a rooftop running track or espresso at the workshop café (London).
