As a Risk Manager in the UK Risk Office, you will be responsible for developing a strong suite of controls across the UK business. In this role, you will lean into your analytical and problem-solving skills by developing and deploying innovative solutions to the business, while also growing your influencing skills as you set the standards for the business. You will create order and sense out of complexity and uncertainty and enable confident, data-inspired decision making.
You will thrive in a cross-functional and collaborative environment that values unique perspectives, rewards innovation, and challenges the status quo. As an integral member of the team, you will have a high level of exposure across the business, partnering closely with senior business and risk office leaders, Marketing & Analytics, compliance, legal, and Operational Risk Management.
What you’ll do:
- Test the design and effectiveness of the business controls
- Support the redesign and improvement of controls
- Make recommendations to various senior stakeholders across the UK business
- Manage projects to implement broadscale control enhancements
- Facilitate workshops to identify risks and controls
- Produce regular process health reporting for internal stakeholders
- Build, establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including 2nd Line Testing and Compliance Advisors
What we’re looking for:
- Risk management experience and/or project management experience, or a desire to learn and grow your career in this field.
- An ability to self-identify improvements to improve efficiency, and then execute them
- Previous experience of working in a highly-regulated industry and/or corporate environment
- Workshop facilitation
- Great stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with a wide range of different people
- Able to partner within and beyond the team, building productive, cross-business relationships
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to remain focused and flexible in a changing environment
Where and how you’ll work:
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham offices. We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home. We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
