Job Description Nottingham Trent House (95002), United Kingdom, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire\n \n Senior Compliance Business Partner\n \n \n Job Title: Compliance Business Partner \n \n Location: Nottingham or London \n \n Working Pattern: 3 days in-office (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days remote. \n \n About the Role \n We are looking for an experienced Compliance Business Partner to provide specialist advice and support across the wider UK financial services compliance framework. This is a hands-on role where you will act as a subject matter expert on current and upcoming regulatory requirements, helping the business identify emerging risks, embed effective controls, and safely deliver new initiatives. You will play a critical part in translating complex regulatory requirements into practical business strategies. \n \n What you’ll do \n \n \n Act as the Compliance subject matter expert for the UK business, specifically on our regulatory requirements. \n Provide vital compliance input and risk assessments for new products, customer journeys, partnerships, and strategic business initiatives. \n Maintain a broad understanding of the UK financial services regulatory environment to advise on critical areas such as Consumer Duty, Conduct risk, and Financial crime. \n Translate complex regulatory directives into practical, commercially focused business controls, confidently challenging business decisions where there is potential regulatory or customer harm risk. \n Prepare high-quality compliance reporting and foster strong, collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Product, and Operations to promote a robust culture of regulatory compliance \n \n \n The skills and experience you need \n \n Significant compliance experience within UK financial services, backed by strong specialist knowledge of electronic money, payment services, and payments regulation. \n A good working knowledge of the Electronic Money Regulations, Payment Services Regulations, and the FCA regulatory framework. \n Proven experience in providing pragmatic compliance advice to business stakeholders and undertaking thorough regulatory risk assessments. \n Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret ambiguous legislation and translate it into practical business requirements. \n Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and clearly explain complex regulatory concepts to non-specialists. \n \n \n Where and how you'll work \n \n This is a permanent position based in either our London or Nottingham office. \n We embrace a hybrid approach to work.
