We've done a pretty good job so far, but we're just getting started! ð Moorgate, London | ð 3-4 Days in Office The RoleAs Head of Regulatory Compliance, you'll report to the Compliance Director and lead a small team covering UK regulatory advice and compliance assurance, and help drive how we adopt and govern AI.

You'll combine regulatory judgement, monitoring craft, and a pragmatic, risk-based approachWhat You'll Be Doing ðRegulatory Advice Leadership: Lead the UK regulatory advice function, giving timely, practical advice on FCA rules, Consumer Duty, financial promotions, safeguarding and e-money.

Horizon Scanning and Regulatory Change: Oversee regulatory horizon scanning and turn regulatory change into clear actions for the business.

Assurance Leadership: Lead the risk-based Risk and Compliance Monitoring Plan as a second-line function, including thematic reviews, control testing and action closure. AI Integration and Governance: Lead the use of AI within compliance, and provide second-line oversight of AI use across the business.

Team Leadership and Enablement: Lead, coach and develop the team, and provide pragmatic, business-minded challenge that helps the first line improve controls.

We're Looking For ðRegulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of FCA SYSC, Consumer Duty and the EMR and PSR regimes, and experience of applying practically with commercial judgement and clear written output.

Monitoring Experience: Hands-on experience running a risk-based compliance monitoring or independent assurance programme in a UK FCA-regulated firm, with a second-line mindset and confidence challenging the business constructively. AI Tooling: experience working with AI tooling and deploying AI across Compliance and the wider organisation. Leadership: Experience leading and developing a compliance team.

Stakeholder Influence and Communication: Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, governance forums and partner banks, with clear, evidence-based reports.(Desirable) FinTech / Payments Background: Experience in an FCA-regulated EMI, payments or banking firm, ideally with fraud, safeguarding or operational resilience exposure.(Desirable) Regulatory Engagement and Cross-Jurisdictional Experience: Experience engaging directly with the FCA, or co-ordinating across jurisdictions (for example UK and US).Diversity & Inclusion ðWe welcome, consider and encourage applications from anyone who shares our commitment to inclusivity.
