Capital on Tap started because small businesses were underserved. Big banks were slow, their products weren't fit for purpose, and small business owners often couldn't access what they needed. We set out to fix that. Today we're a financial platform - not just a credit card company. We offer a best-in-class business credit card, SME-focused spend management platform, a savings product that hit £1 billion in funds within its first year, and a growing suite of tools and financial products that make running a small business easier.

Our Product team sits at the heart of everything we build. We move fast, work closely with engineering, and obsess over outcomes for our customers. The Customer Experience group owns the customer portal and main user interface functionality a customer has with our platform from the moment they're approved through to how they use rewards, spend their money, and interact with our product every day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the customer experience and rewards product roadmap, from ideation through to launch and iteration.
  • Own end to end flows in App and Desktop customer portal.
  • Define, measure, and analyse KPIs using both qualitative and quantitative research to drive prioritisation.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality product improvements at pace.
  • Work intuitively with AI tools to create wireframes, mock-ups, and user flows to communicate product thinking clearly across the business.
  • Identify and resolve friction points in the customer journey, with a relentless focus on retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, compliance, and commercial to deliver joined-up customer outcomes.

Our Values & Culture

  • Just Pilot: We never settle for "good enough". We pilot new ideas fast, ask questions to figure it out, and scale quickly.
  • Why Not Today? Fast is as slow as we go - speed and simplicity gives us a competitive advantage.
  • Be a Buddy: We tap in from day one to help the team, we do the right thing even if it's hard.
  • Owners and Dates: We don't chase people. If you own a task and agree to a date, the expectation is that it gets done.
  • Feedback: We want our employees to flourish, so we regularly provide direct and constructive feedback.

We're Looking For

  • High-cadence shipping: You ship meaningful updates every few weeks.
  • Cross-platform expertise: Experience across iOS, Android, and Web.
  • Full ownership: You manage the entire release lifecycle from planning to post-launch.
  • Real scale: Experience managing products with hundreds of thousands of users.
  • Commercial acumen: Entrepreneurial gut instinct, and intuitive analytical understanding of economics and product outcomes.
  • Executive presence: Comfortable presenting directly to C-suite leadership.

Bonus: Experience with rewards, loyalty programmes, or subscription billing systems.

Interview Process

  • Stage 1: A quick 30-minute virtual intro with our Talent team to get to know you.
  • Stage 2: A 1-hour technical session with 2 members of the Product team. We can host you in the office or meet virtually.
  • Stage 3: An onsite 60-90 minute final chat with the Director of Product.
