Platform Engineering at Capital on Tap
The Platform Engineering team powers fast, secure, and reliable software delivery across the business. We partner with Engineering, Data, Security, and QA teams to build platforms that reduce toil. From managing our Azure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to shaping core developer tooling, we focus on scalability, resiliency, and security at every step. We're always exploring new tools, testing ideas, and applying industry best practices to keep our platform cutting-edge and our teams empowered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide support to multiple teams across the business function (Product Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Security and QA).
- Build new and manage existing Azure services and resources with a focus on performance, security, scalability and resiliency in mind.
- Proactively support Platform services and tooling (TeamCity, Octopus, Azure DevOps & more).
- Create and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Advise internal teams on infrastructure best practices (HA), container orchestration, monitoring and cloud security.
- Help evolve our CI/CD processes to include code quality testing, security scanning, load testing and infrastructure validations.

We’re Looking For
- 3+ years in Cloud/DevOps roles with experience in either Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience in at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Go).
- Skilled in CI/CD tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps), containerisation, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experienced in building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and developer productivity tooling.
- Familiar with observability, alerting, and incident management (DataDog, Grafana) and collaborative, agile team environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor others and influence cross-team engineering culture.

- Second stage: 60 minute "Tech Chat" with Team Manager
- Final stage: 60-minute Technical Task + 60 minute Interview with Head of Platform Engineering
