This is a hybrid role. The Business Development Team works from our Brighton office 5 days per week for the first 3 months, with the opportunity to work in the office 3 days per week after that.
What you’ll be doing
We are looking for an additional Sales Manager (SM) to build and manage an additional Brighton-based acquisition sales team. Our sales department has grown from 1 to nearly 150 and we are looking for leaders to help us successfully scale even further. The SM will report into either our Co-Head of Sales, or our Senior Sales Manager for Brighton, and work alongside a team of Sales Managers. As a senior leader within the department, you will be at the heart of driving sales strategy, performance, development and retention of the team. The SM will also be vital in helping to build relationships across the wider teams in Manchester and London and leading the department to success.
- Building a team of 8-12 BDMs that you will be mentoring and coaching through formal and informal channels
- Reviewing performance and effectiveness through analytics and pipeline management
- Balancing your teams targets and objectives with the broader business objectives and priorities
- Agreeing and setting daily/weekly targets and KPIs for your team
- Collaborating with other SMs on best practice, process improvements and knowledge sharing
- Working alongside our Co-Head of Sales to assist in developing sales strategies to drive growth
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders across the business
- Working closely with our People Team on sourcing, interviewing and onboarding talent into your team
- A comprehensive understanding of SMEs and their financial workings
- Data driven mindset and ability to analyse funnel and performance data
- Ability to motivate and drive performance within your team
- A track record of mentoring and coaching junior team members to success
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example in telesales

Interview Process
First stage: 30 minute intro and values call with Talent Partner
Second stage: 30 minute coffee and introductory interview with Co-Head of Sales, Brighton
Final stage: Interview loop – join us on site in our Brighton office for: a case study presentation task, to meet with our Senior People Partner for Sales, and to meet with our CCO.
