This is a Hybrid role with 3 days a week in our London (Moorgate) Office.
This CASS & Safeguarding Oversight Officer role sits in our Business Operations team. In BizOps, we don't just keep the lights on; we drive operational excellence with regulatory compliance at the forefront. We are looking for a specialist to become the system and process expert for E-Money safeguarding as we prepare for major regulatory changes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Your first major project will be supporting the business in preparing for the new Safeguarding Regime. You will act as the central point of contact across Compliance, Finance, and Business teams to ensure our documentation, processes, and controls meet the new standards.
- Lead the Safeguarding Transition: You will drive project ideation, delivery, and execution for the company’s biggest compliance challenges, ensuring a smooth transition to the new CASS 15 rules.
- Design the "Resolution Pack": You will work with technical teams to ensure all mandatory documentation and data can be generated accurately within the strict 48-hour regulatory timeline.
- Own the Audit: You will manage the relationship with auditors and key internal stakeholders to prepare for the statutory annual safeguarding audit and monthly regulatory reporting.
- Build the Controls: You will support the implementation of new controls for record-keeping, reconciliation, and fund identification.
- Drive Strategic Readiness: You’ll get stuck into strategic projects powering regulatory readiness, such as enhancing third-party due diligence frameworks or developing new reconciliation processes.
- Be the Expert: You will serve as the subject matter expert for E-Money safeguarding, ensuring our customer funds protection framework adheres fully to the FCA’s new regime.
You have Financial Regulatory Expertise: Proven experience working in an E-Money Safeguarding or CASS Treasury function is required.
You understand the products: You have experience with various banking products and a strong understanding of the upcoming CASS 15 (Client Asset Sourcebook Chapter 15) requirements.
You are an Automation Enthusiast: You are comfortable diving into manual tasks to build a deep understanding, then leveraging that knowledge to develop solutions using AI and automation to eliminate operational friction.
You are Resourceful: You are action-oriented, quick to grasp new concepts, and adept at figuring things out on the fly.
You are Tech Savvy: You are proficient in Excel/Google Sheets. Experience with Snowflake, Looker, or Power BI is a plus.
