Why Join Us?
We empower you to be innovative and solve complex problems. Take ownership, make an impact, and thrive in our scaling and agile environment.

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Learning & Development Partner to join our Operations team in Cardiff, specifically focusing on our Collections Team. This isn\’t just about delivering training; it\’s about being the primary catalyst for new-starter success and the ongoing development of our team members.

If you thrive on seeing people grow, love creating engaging learning materials, and want to be instrumental in ensuring a high-performing Collections function, this role is for you!

This is a Hybrid role, working from our Cardiff office 3 days per week. You\’ll need to be office-based more frequently when running dedicated training sessions to ensure a high-quality learning experience for new joiners and existing staff.

What You\’ll Be Doing ✨

As our L&D Partner for the Collections Team, you\’ll be the expert in setting our new joiners up for success and supporting the team’s continuous improvement. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Onboarding Design: Develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive, engaging onboarding programs and materials that prepare new Collections team members for their roles.
  • Sign-Off & Accreditation: Take ownership of the new joiner sign-off process, ensuring all new hires meet the required competency standards and are ready to provide excellent customer service.
  • Initial Support: Provide hands-on coaching and support to new joiners during their initial weeks, acting as their first point of contact for training-related questions.

Ongoing Development & Improvement

  • Delivering Training: Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and coaching to address identified skill gaps within the existing Collections team.
  • Upskilling & Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior L&D Trainer to develop and deliver larger upskilling initiatives and professional development training.
  • Support & Resources: Maintain and update training resources, process documentation, and knowledge articles to provide accessible, ongoing support for the team.
  • Feedback & Evaluation: Gather feedback on training effectiveness and suggest improvements to learning programs to ensure they are high-impact and relevant.

We\’re seeking a motivated individual with a genuine passion for people development and a foundational understanding of what it takes to train a high-performing team.

  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience within a training, coaching, L&D coordination, or similar role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collections/Operations Know-How: Proven ability to work effectively within a busy contact centre or Operations environment. Experience in a Collections team is a significant plus.
  • Training Foundation: A good understanding of how adults learn best (adult learning principles) and the ability to design clear, engaging training content.
  • Regulatory Awareness (Bonus): Exposure to a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulated environment and an understanding of the importance of compliance and ethical standards in collections.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently deliver training to groups and individuals.
