This is an in‑office role; the Junior Business Development team works from our central Brighton offices 5 days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Capital on Tap Sales Academy is a six‑month training program that equips you to sell our award‑winning business credit card to UK businesses. It’s ideal for those starting a sales career, combining learning and growth. You’ll learn about our product, customers, and sales techniques, while gaining insights into the payments industry and business finance. You’ll shadow top performers, interact with various teams, and work towards targets. Finally, you will focus on applying your knowledge, managing your portfolio, and refining your pitch, with the opportunity to advance to Business Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Sourcing leads to build and manage your pipeline
  • Making 30‑50 outbound cold calls per day
  • Managing customer accounts and driving card spend
  • Working towards and hitting targets!
  • A record of success in any sort of customer service, sports or extracurricular activities
  • An energetic and personable character with the ability to build rapport over the phone
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
  • Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with a drive to be successful
  • No prior telesales or cold calling experience is required – we’ll teach you everything you need to know!
