The Fraud team works to help keep our customers safe. You won’t just be working through alerts, but owning end-to-end investigations of complex cases and sophisticated fraud rings. Your knowledge will influence how we build our defenses and you’ll mentor more junior members of the team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Complex Investigations: Lead deep-dive investigations into high-value cases and emerging, sophisticated fraud MOs.
- Strategic Input: Propose specific rule changes or process improvements needed to stop fraud & scams.
- Data Interrogation: Use Excel and SQL to analyse fraud data, identifying vulnerabilities in our current controls.
- Technical Ownership: Handle the most difficult 'end-to-end' cases, including high-stakes customer escalations and external reporting.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Act as a point of escalation for Junior Investigators, sharing your knowledge and helping calibrate the team’s decision-making.
- Risk Balancing: Use expert judgment to minimise friction for legitimate customers while maintaining a hard line against bad actors.
- Just Pilot: We pilot new ideas fast, ask questions to figure it out, and scale quickly.

Proven Track Record: At least 1+ years of experience in a dedicated Fraud role.
Analytical Depth: Ability to connect the dots between seemingly unrelated alerts to uncover larger fraud patterns.
Problem Solver: A proactive mindset, you see a gap in a process and you're already thinking of the solution.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Excel to manipulate data; SQL skills are highly preferred to help drive data-led decisions.
Independence: Able to manage a complex caseload with minimal supervision, making high-stakes decisions confidently.
Stage 1: 30 minute intro and values call with a Talent Partner.
Stage 2: 60 minute technical assessment with a manager in the Fraud team (in person or virtual).
