The Role
We are looking for a Data Protection Administrator to be the backbone of our privacy operations. This is an administrative role based in our Cardiff office, perfect for someone with strong organisational skills and an eagerness to learn about data privacy. You will support both the UK and US functions by processing data rights requests and maintaining core data compliance records. The Data Protection Administrator supports the data protection team with daily operational tasks, documentation, data subject request processing, and basic compliance duties. Ideal for early‑career professionals with an interest in data privacy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist with processing data rights, for example Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and Data Erasure Requests.
- Maintain records of processing activities (RoPA).
- Support privacy inbox triage and logging of incidents.
- Maintain documentation, templates, and data compliance trackers.
- Update internal privacy registers and monitoring dashboards.
- Support the team with data audits and evidence collection.
- Triage and elevate Data Complaints.

- Ability to follow structured workflows.

- Able to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
- Understanding of working in a financial services regulatory environment.
- Shows a keen interest in learning new technologies, like leveraging AI tools and automation to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Nice to have skills/qualifications:
- Basic understanding of the UK data protection laws like GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR (training will be provided).
- Aware-level understanding of CCPA/CPRA, and emerging U.S. state privacy laws (training will be provided).
- Basic understanding of data protection and information security concepts.
- Previous experience in a Privacy, Compliance or a Complaint handling role would be an advantage.
- Experience working with AI or automation technologies, such as workflow automation tools or AI‑assisted platforms, to enhance operational efficiency would be highly desirable.
