We’re Capital on Tap. Capital on Tap started because small businesses were underserved. Big banks were slow, their products weren't fit for purpose, and small business owners often couldn't access what they needed. We set out to fix that. Today we're a financial platform - not just a credit card company. We offer a best-in-class business credit card, SME-focused spend management platform, a savings product that hit £1 billion in funds within its first year, and a growing suite of tools and financial products that make running a small business easier.
The Role
Join our IT team in Brighton as a hands-on Support Engineer working across Windows, Entra ID, Intune and Google Workspace. You’ll diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues, manage device lifecycle and user accounts, and support our ops teams with bespoke internal tooling. This is an on-site role (up to 5 days a week) with an on-call rota. Day to day you’ll:
- Resolve IT support requests via Jira, Slack and in person, owning tickets through to closure within SLA.
- Build, configure and deploy devices using Intune and Autopilot; manage the asset register.
- Administer user accounts and access across Entra ID, Google Workspace and M365.
- Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues alongside the wider IT team.
- Onboard new joiners with fully configured kit and accounts on day one.
- Support internal applications used by our customer operations teams.
- Maintain and improve IT documentation and processes.
About You
- Prior experience in a desktop or IT support role with a solid understanding of IT fundamentals.
- You genuinely enjoy helping people and can explain technical things in plain English.
- Comfortable working with:
- Windows 10/11, macOS
- Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune and Autopilot
- Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Jira and Slack
- Solid understanding of hardware (ideally Dell laptops and desktops).
- Good at diagnosing problems methodically rather than guessing.
- Happy to travel between offices and work outside core hours when needed.
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
Nice to have:
- Exposure to SQL or data administration.
- Experience with OS patching or upgrade management.
- Awareness of IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Relevant certifications (ITIL, CompTIA, etc.) are a plus but not essential.

If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.
✨Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach
