We’re Capital on Tap 👋 Capital on Tap was founded with the mission to help small business owners and make their lives easier. Today, we provide an all-in-one business credit card & spend management platform that helps business owners save time and money. Capital on Tap proudly serves over 200,000 businesses across the world and our goal is to help 1 million small businesses by 2030. This is a hybrid role. The Account Sales Team works from our Brighton office 3 days a week.
As an Account Sales Executive, you’ll own the initial commercial relationship with newly approved SME customers. These businesses already want access to our product — your role is to educate, activate, and grow their spend by understanding how their business works and showing where our card adds value. You’ll spend most of your time speaking directly with SME owner-directors and finance managers, helping them move from “approved” to “actively using us as a core payment tool.” This is a phone-led, target-driven role where success comes from commercial curiosity, resilience, and the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Delivering a strong first experience for newly approved SME customers
- Understanding each customer’s business model and payment needs
- Driving increased and sustained card spend through proactive outbound calls
- Managing a high-volume portfolio and prioritising opportunities effectively
- Making 35–40 outbound calls per day to decision-makers
- Working towards clear spend and activation targets, with performance tracked weekly
Experience in phone-based sales, account management, or customer activation. Enjoy working to clear targets and KPIs and can evidence past results. Comfortable speaking with business owners and finance professionals. Commercially curious — you ask good questions and listen carefully. Resilient, competitive, and motivated by progression and performance. Can think on your feet and adapt your approach based on the customer.
We try not to take ourselves too seriously (all the time) so we make sure our office is decked out with a pool table, arcade machine, beer tap, and a couple of office dogs thrown in for good measure. Check out our benefits:
- 🏥 Private Healthcare including dental and opticians services through Vitality
- ✈️ Worldwide travel insurance through Vitality
- 🎁 Anniversary Rewards (£250, £500, £750, 4-week fully paid sabbatical)
- 👛 Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme up to 7% match
