The Role
Primary responsibilities will revolve around assisting in the gathering and dissemination of transactional data (IPOs, FollowâOns, Block Trades, etc...). As CMG expands its product offerings and regional coverage, this role is intended to become dynamic and evolve alongside the broader organization. Developing a comprehensive understanding of Global Equity Capital Markets (ECM) offerings and the associated workflow specific to capturing and distributing all relevant data on the CMG Platform is essential. The ideal candidate is willing to begin work in early morning hours (GMT or CET time zone) and work flexible hours during initial training.
Responsibilities
- Data Gathering & Content Extraction
- Navigate and extract content from key Equity Capital Market sources including SEC Filings, press releases, and Exchange filings
- Create, update, and manage CMG data records
- Establish offering source documents to support accurate ECM data capture
- Document rules, regulations, market research, and general information relevant to the CMG team
- Develop a strong understanding of CMG's data structure
- Establish and document workflows to accurately track international offerings
- Run regular data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Manage data quality in CMG's internal entity and security databases by resolving data conflicts and deficiencies
- Vet accuracy and completeness of thirdâparty data vendors
- Supplement, correct, and scrub vendor data to maintain highâquality datasets
- Understand the business needs of CMG customers to ensure data relevance and usability
- Support clients on dataârelated issues involving ECM offering execution workflows
- Collaborate with product development on integrating ECM data into the product roadmap and workflow
- Assist developers with product testing prior to releases
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of global Equity Capital Markets offerings and the workflow required to capture and distribute relevant data
- Expand ECM global coverage universe
Qualifications
- 2-3 years Finance, Accounting, Capital Markets or Data Entry experience preferred
- Overall knowledge of equity markets and relationship between buyâ and sellâside
- Comfort working in fast paced tradingâlike environment
- Extreme attention to detail
- Genuine interest in Equity Capital Markets and Equity Offerings
- Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage
