About the Job:

The Handyperson role forms an integral part of our team in London, focusing on building maintenance for both commercial and residential properties. This position requires a background in the building maintenance industry and a varied knowledge of carrying out maintenance duties in a commercial or residential environment. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of maintenance and repair work are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Your day-to-day tasks will involve responding to maintenance requests, identifying issues, and providing practical solutions in a timely manner. You will handle a wide range of duties, from general repairs and installations to assisting with refurbishment projects and supporting other trades.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • General Maintenance / Handyperson duties
  • Leak investigation
  • Blind repairs
  • Installation of hatches
  • Installation of carpet tiles
  • Installation of stair nosings
  • Assisting other trades and gaining skill training
  • Building furniture
  • Procurement of materials and equipment to carry out works
  • Completion of work sheets via our mobile app
  • This is a mobile role

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Proficient in carrying out a wide range of general maintenance tasks
  • A hardworking, reliable work ethic, flexible as overtime & OOH works may be required depending on client or job requirements
  • Previous experience in maintenance and building environments, ideally within commercial or residential sectors
  • A HSE understanding
  • Full UK Driver’s License (not essential)
  • Previous use of handheld technology / smartphone
  • Take pride in doing everything you do to the highest standard
  • A good communicator, who understands the importance of customer service
  • City and Guilds qualifications or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the building industry

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum
