About the Job: We are seeking a Fire Door Carpenter to join our team in London, who specialise in building maintenance within commercial & residential properties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with previous experience and background in carpentry.
Your main duties will include fitting timber fire doors to current code for regulation. Full training can be given on the fitting requirements on each door system and all our door sets are pre-machined, with some assembly required. You will be given a minimum of one door set a day for the length of each project.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Broken door closer
- Adjustment to doors
- General Carpentry
- Installation and hanging doors
- Procurement of materials and equipment to carry out works
- Completion of work sheets via our mobile app
- This is a mobile role
Required qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in Carpentry
- A hardworking, reliable work ethic, flexible as overtime & OOH works may be required depending on client or job requirements
- Previous experience in maintenance and building environments, ideally within commercial or residential sectors
- A HSE understanding
- Full UK Drivers License
- Previous use of handheld technology / smartphone
- Take pride in doing everything you do to the highest standard
- A good communicator, who understands the importance of customer service
- Competent working alone
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the building industry
- City and Guilds qualifications or equivalent
- BRE, FIRAS or BM-TRADA 3rd party accreditation / registration of maintenance / fitting training
