About the Job:
The Project Estimator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of medium to large-scale project works across commercial and residential properties in London. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to provide accurate estimates, quotations, and tender packages tailored to client requirements. The Project Estimator works closely with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to review specifications, obtain quotations, and support project managers during pre-construction stages, always maintaining the highest standards in service delivery and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Providing estimates and pricing support on medium to large project works
- Preparing timely and accurate quotations based on customer requirements and KPIs
- Preparing and submitting tender packages
- Reviewing specifications and drawings
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations
- Supporting operational teams and the Project Managers during pre-construction stages
- Working closely with management to review QCs and problem solving
- Working with internal teams to resolve various technical issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
- Procurement of materials and equipment to carry out works
You will be required to be flexible and work both in the office as well as attend client sites when required.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience of estimating within the construction industry
- Working knowledge of schedule rates
- NVQ Level 3 in Construction or equivalent
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Numerate
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel
- Flexible and adaptable to varying workloads
- A hardworking and reliable work ethic
