The Commercial Team
Our Commercial team supports a wide variety of clients, from local businesses to international corporations, and public and third sector organisations. We advise clients on all aspects of their commercial relationships, including the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, strategic advice, business advice, advice on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property, data protection and information security advice, and governance and compliance advice. You will be joining a skilled team that works on national projects, including collaborations in sectors like technology, sports, and renewable energy.
The Role
As a Senior Associate, you’ll be a key player in our Commercial team, advising, drafting and negotiating on commercial contracts. You will manage client relationships, lead negotiations, and provide strategic advice. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside partners on large, complex transactions and contribute to the growth of the team.
Key Requirements
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts.
- Providing legal advice on intellectual property, including licensing and assignments.
- Conducting commercial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
- Advising on data protection compliance and strategy.
- Working closely with our corporate and finance teams to ensure seamless support for client transactions.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified solicitor with a strong background in commercial law. (5 years+ PQE)
- Experience in intellectual property and data protection is essential.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- A collaborative approach, comfortable working in cross-disciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
