About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Legal Secretary to join our Cardiff office on a permanent basis. This is a key role that ensures the smooth running of our day‑to‑day operations within the Commercial & Regulatory Team and provides outstanding support to the team of fee earners.
Responsible for:
- Providing full secretarial, PA and administrative support to a team of fee earners
- Preparing and formatting correspondence and legal documents
- Maintaining accurate documentation and filing systems
- File opening/closing
- Supporting and coordinating client billing
- Dealing with emails/correspondence, calls and enquiries
- Photocopying and scanning documents and managing incoming post
- Diary management, planning and organising meetings, travel and accommodation and lunches
Key Competencies:
- Legal secretarial or PA experience
- Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Commitment to providing excellent service
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi‑task, prioritise a high‑volume workload and work to deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing requirements and see opportunities for improvement
- Flexible ‘can do’ approach with the ability to work proactively, use own initiative and offer solutions
- Team focus with a flexible and collaborative approach to working with others, but also able to work alone
- Confidence to communicate with all levels in order to manage expectations and maintain effective working relationships
