Role summary
The Equity Specialist is a leadership role (manager-equivalent) in the global RFP function. The Equity Specialist is an experienced sole contributor working closely with RFP team members, other Global Client Services (GCS) teams, global asset class services and product teams, global distribution, operational teams and any other relevant business areas to recommend messaging for use in requests for information, new business proposals, due diligence and ad hoc requests for CG’s equity strategies. The Equity Specialist is a resource for all GCS teams to optimize the client experience, supporting both existing service, client retention and new business efforts.
Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
- Content and data expert for coverage area (equities); Facilitates production excellence as internal SME and escalation point:
- Accountable for ensuring optimal written content related to CG’s equity investment strategies and/or operational processes related to equity products.
- Serves as expert on statistical data for CG’s equity strategies.
- Responsible for providing input and oversight of investment-related content, for RFPs and Due Diligence requests in conjunction with RFP writers, and provides input and oversight of investment-related statistical data and narrative content reported in consultant/third party databases in conjunction with the Investment Database team.
- Change Champion and Driving Fluency for RFP/GCS:
- Embraces continuous improvement mindset to find efficiency and enhancement opportunities for content, data sources, processes or technology in assigned area.
- Represents GCS in any relevant strategic initiatives and /or process leadership opportunities.
- Anticipates future business needs and identifies opportunities to enhance the team’s operations and processes within their domain area. Continuously acquires and evolves knowledge to be recognized as a thought leader within their domain area.
- Leadership and Engagement with partner teams/stakeholders:
- Coaches and mentors the broader team.
- Proactively identifies knowledge gaps and leads any education/training needed.

- Engages with cross-functional key stakeholders to identify and drive needed changes to enhance business and technology processes.
- Partners with distribution, investment services and leadership committees to formalize strategy on responses to complex requests and initiatives.

- Performs additional responsibilities, as assigned. Support ad hoc projects, as and when required, in addition to core responsibilities.
