The Senior Client Relations Analyst represents Capital Group externally with primarily UK Institutional clients, focusing on retaining and growing client relationships. In collaboration with teams across the Europe & Asia Client Group (EACG), the team engages directly with clients and service providers to deliver deep expertise on industry, organizational, and operational topics. Provides a consultative client experience by anticipating needs, leading or participating in client meetings, and ensuring exceptional service, with cross-functional teams to advocate for client priorities. Serve as a credible representative of Capital Group, strengthening relationships and driving long-term growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- In partnership with EACG Business Development Managers (BDMs), retains and grows relationships by delivering proactive client service.
- Develops and executes strategies to strengthen and retain client relationships, aligned with UK Institutional Business objectives; engages proactively with clients and creates account plans in partnership with BDMs, monitoring progress and adapting plans as necessary.
- Collaborates with BDMs and Business Development Associates (BDAs) as part of a regional team to review client updates, risks, and pipeline; provides insights to inform sales approaches and implement retention strategies for at-risk clients.
- Maintains accurate CRM records in Salesforce and other internal systems.
- Accountable for building enduring relationships with clients through proactive ongoing relationship management and servicing.
- Delivers proactive, value-added insights during client interactions through continuous engagement, including regular in-person meetings.
- Partners with clients to identify and resolve a variety of complex issues and non-standard requests; addresses ad hoc queries related to portfolios, regulations, markets, and investment strategies.
- Shares key insights from client interactions with relationship and business development teams, escalating critical matters internally when necessary; participates in client due diligence and other meetings as required.
- Ensures excellent client experience for all aspects of client servicing support and reporting.
- Works in close partnership with Investment Operations teams, exercising independent decision-making authority to manage all aspects of client servicing.
- Applies a deep knowledge of regulatory requirements to determine appropriate actions for complex service needs, advocate for clients, and coordinate with internal teams as necessary.
- Collaborates with legal, compliance, and operations teams to oversee complex processes such as account setup, legal agreement and investment guideline negotiations, account transitions, new market openings, transfers, terminations, and other client/account maintenance activities; works with relevant internal teams and external providers to establish and maintain client and regulatory reporting.
- Coordinates and reviews responses to due diligence questionnaires and RFIs.
Provides senior-level leadership for the Client Relation team
- Mentoring other team members, recommending and driving client service best practices, and providing advice and guidance on complex issues.
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of Institutional client service experience in the Asset Management industry, with client-facing experience.
- Able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the institutional marketplace and client needs; identifies issues and recommends resources to address complex and broad matters.
- Demonstrable understanding of and ability to represent complex investment products, strategies, solutions, and fees with clients.
- Displays intellectual curiosity, analytical and critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative approach, develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Excel, Microsoft applications and business applications (Salesforce).
