Position Summary
Reporting to the Global Head of Technology and AI Risk, the Senior Analyst will lead the Global Risk Management (GRM) review and assessment of AI use cases, ensuring compliance with Capital Group’s policies, industry frameworks, and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities
- Execute AI risk management processes: identify, assess, quantify risk as part of the AI intake process.
- Proactively identify and escalade risks/gaps throughout the AI lifecycle, communicate findings, and recommend enhancements.
- Monitor risk metrics, investigate triggers, and actively manage issues.
- Participate in incident and problem management related to AI.
- Prepare risk reporting, AI risk documentation, policies, standards, and Board/Committee materials for Global Risk Management.
- Review and challenge first‑line processes, procedures, and controls against AI‑related policies, industry frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of AI‑specific risk management principles, responsible AI practices, and relevant theories.
- Experience leveraging model risk, data protection, technology risk, and related expertise to evaluate AI use cases.
- Demonstrable knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001) and their practical application.
- Experience assessing risks and controls for AI and related technology/security.
- In‑depth understanding of AI model risk management in real‑world environments.
- Technical understanding of data protection, security risk management, AI lifecycle, failure modes, and risk characteristics.
- Fluency in responsible AI best practices and incident management.
