Responsibilities:
- Brand authority & governance
- Own the Brand Language OS and brand operating rules
- Act as final approver on brand tone, language, and narrative
- Say “no” to growth-driven pressure that breaks brand discipline
- Prevent drift into hype, urgency, or promotional fintech language
- Lead and govern global agencies (Ogilvy, PR partners, experience partners)
- Translate brand strategy into executable systems for agencies
- Ensure consistency across markets without over-localisation
- Control scope creep and “creative reinvention”
- Work closely with Product, PR, Performance, CRM, Compliance
- Ensure product language, PR narratives, and performance copy align
- Act as the brand counterweight to growth and commercial pressure
- Own brand presence in premium contexts (airports, inflight, FT, institutional media)
- Ensure brand behaviour matches regulated, long-term credibility
- Treat brand as infrastructure, not promotion
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in senior brand leadership roles.
- Proven background in regulated or high-trust industries (preferred).
- Experience within financial services, payments, infrastructure, or institutional brands is strongly preferred, including client-side work with brand systems (Landor, Interbrand, Wolff Olins) or major agency networks.
- Demonstrated ability to govern large agencies rather than rely on them for strategy.
- Experience managing and scaling brand across multiple international markets.
- Strong personal authority and confidence to say “no” to senior stakeholders when brand discipline is at risk.
- Exposure to PR, product language, and brand governance, not solely advertising or campaigns.
