Capital City College is looking for a committed and capable Deputy Examinations Manager to join our Group Examinations Service, supporting high-quality delivery across our organisation and ensuring every learner has the best possible assessment experience. This post has a particular focus on systems, automation and data‑led improvement, helping modernise how examinations are planned, delivered and quality‑assured across the Group.

About the RoleThis role is offered on a full‑time, permanent basis, 35 hours a week. To lead in providing a high quality, responsive management of the examinations service for a designated college or group of colleges, with a particular focus on digital systems, process improvement and automation. To ensure the development and implementation of formal quality assurance and evaluation procedures using data, system controls and digital reporting to drive consistency and compliance.
About the TeamOur Examinations Service is structured as one coordinated Group team working across multiple venues, curriculum areas and exam cycles. This ensures consistency, resilience and shared expertise. You will be part of a three‑team model, each led by an Examinations Manager under the direction of the Assistant Director of Examinations. Together, we work collaboratively to:
- Standardise processes and maintain compliance across campuses
- Share best practice, problem‑solve collectively and support each other
- Develop our service through quality improvement, digital transformation, automation and smarter use of systems and data.
This means you are never working in isolation, you’ll have colleagues to call on, learn from and work alongside. The Deputy Examinations Manager plays a vital role in helping move the service forward identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and embed sustainable digital solutions that support both frontline delivery and strategic planning.
About YouWe’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering excellent service. You should bring:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Significant experience of using FE databases for examination purposes

- Experience in managing large examinations in an FE / educational environment
- Strong confidence working with digital systems, data and spreadsheets, with an interest in automation and process improvement
