Are you ready to make an impact at one of London’s leading Further Education providers? Capital City College is looking for a skilled Apprentice Technician to support and drive key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.
About the Role
This role is offered on a full-time, 12 months fixed term basis. The contract will end on 31/09/2027
To provide technical and operational support to staff and students, ensuring the effective delivery of learning, teaching, and creative production activities. The apprentice contributes to the smooth running of media facilities by supporting the management, deployment, maintenance, and tracking of production equipment, assisting with the setup and operation of production studios, and providing support throughout the production and post-production process.

About You
We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering excellent service. You should bring:
- This occupation is found within creative and digital media education environments, including further education colleges, specialist media training centres, and creative production facilities.
- Apprentices work across a range of creative disciplines including film, television, podcasting, radio, animation, photography, virtual production, and digital content creation.
- The broad purpose of the role is to provide technical and operational support to staff and students, ensuring the effective delivery of learning, teaching, and creative production activities.
- Apprentices work collaboratively with teaching staff, technical teams, students, and external partners to help prepare resources and environments for practical learning activities and creative projects.
- They assist in setting up production spaces such as television studios, podcast studios, green screen facilities, virtual production environments, photography studios, and editing suites.
- They may also provide first-line technical support relating to cameras, lighting, audio equipment, editing software, and media workflows.
- As part of their role, apprentices help manage equipment inventories, prepare and issue equipment loans, monitor equipment condition, undertake basic maintenance and troubleshooting, and ensure resources are available and fit for purpose.
- They support post-production activities, including media transfer, file management, editing workflows, asset organisation, and content preparation for delivery or archiving.
