Capital City College is looking for a skilled Student Mentoring Manager to support and drive key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.

About the Role: This role is offered on a full-time, fixed term basis. Your contract will end 31st August 2028. We are seeking an experienced and driven Student Mentoring Manager to lead the development and delivery of a high-quality, college-wide mentoring programme that supports student retention, engagement, achievement and progression. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and embedding a structured mentoring framework, with peer mentoring at its core, alongside academic, transition and progression-focused support. You will work collaboratively across curriculum and support services to ensure mentoring is impactful, inclusive and aligned with institutional priorities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Manage the Mentoring Programme: Provide operational leadership for a scalable, high-impact mentoring offer across all college centres, ensuring consistent quality, effective coordination, and alignment with safeguarding and inclusion standards.
  • Develop and Deliver Peer Mentoring: Design and implement the college’s peer mentoring model, including recruitment, training, deployment and ongoing support of student mentors, ensuring strong engagement and positive outcomes for learners.
  • Drive Impact and Partnership Working: Develop targeted interventions and partnerships (with curriculum teams, employers and external organisations) to improve attendance, retention and progression, with a focus on priority learners and core subjects such as Maths and English.

You will be a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong commitment to improving learner outcomes, able to build partnerships, influence stakeholders and champion mentoring as a key driver of student success.

  • Experience in a similar (administrative/customer service/support-based role is desirable).
