Are you ready to make an impact at one of London’s leading Further Education providers? Capital City College is looking for a skilled Learning Resource Centre Officer to support and drive key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.
About the Role
This role is offered on a full time, term‑time only basis, working 40 weeks per year.
The Learning Resource Centre Officer plays a vital role in supporting learners across the college in achieving their academic goals while fostering the development of a broad range of skills, including digital literacy and research capabilities. Working with both 16‑18‑year‑old students and adult learners, the officer provides tailored guidance, resources, and learning opportunities to enhance independent study and critical thinking.
The post holder works in collaboration with curriculum departments, ensuring the offer is aligned with curriculum needs. A key member of the Learner Services team, they champion learning and advocate soft skills development to support the future success of college learners.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver an expert, innovative, agile and modern Learning Resource Centre service that supports students to develop their skills and achieve their full potential, including student‑centred events and proactive support.
- Ensure learners access necessary academic resources to excel in their courses, including books, magazines, academic journals and specialist materials.
- Support curriculum colleagues to engage with Learning Resource Centre activities, tailoring the offer to specific subject area needs.
- Engage learners within the centre setting with activities that support their skills development and enrichment.
