Are you an experienced Gas Engineer looking to share your knowledge and skills with the next generation of industry professionals? Join our dynamic Plumbing and Gas department at Tottenham, part of the Capital City College, and help shape the future of gas engineering.

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Gas & Heating Lecturer to deliver exceptional teaching, learning and assessment in Gas, Plumbing, and Heating qualifications. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise to the classroom and workshop while supporting learners in achieving industry-recognised qualifications, including CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, and CENWAT.

You must be able to:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in Gas and Plumbing qualifications, including Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas and Apprenticeships.
  • Prepare and assess learners for ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme) gas qualifications.
  • Provide practical training in our state-of-the-art workshops and guide learners to meet industry standards.
  • Monitor and support learner progress to ensure their success.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and schemes of work that inspire and challenge students.
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body requirements and uphold the college's commitment to quality.

Essential:

  • Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating or Gas Installation (or equivalent).
  • ACS Gas qualifications: CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, and CENWAT.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to achieve one.
  • Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
  • Extensive industry experience in domestic gas installation and maintenance.

Desirable:

  • IQA qualification.
  • Experience with Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessments.
  • Familiarity with virtual learning environments and e-portfolios.
