This position delivers a full range of banking services to businesses and business owners and places emphasis on client contact, sales, and service. The position requires significant outside business development activities. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act, registration in the NMLS Registry is required. All associates at Capital City Bank, Capital City Wealth, and Capital City Home Loans have access to confidential client information and must practice discretion at all times.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for loan production, deposit production, fees, credit quality and referrals each incentive period as well as maintaining and servicing current client portfolio.
- Responsible for growing the overall Business Banking portfolio.
- Operates with various degrees of authority and specialization.
- Responsible for calling on retail clients and prospects, referrals and joint revenue opportunities with Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate and other Business Partners.
- Build, maintain and grow quality client portfolios that bring revenue to the Bank.
- Support of overall Bank production goals as outlined by quarterly targets and scorecards.
- Responsible for sales and service of existing businesses and business owners within the departmental portfolio.
- Responsible for identifying business production opportunities and ability to identify referrals to business partners.
- Meets with clients to discuss small business needs and recommends ways in which the bank can serve their needs.
- Proactive business development and calling within assigned market areas.
- Cross sells a full range of business banking services and products through joint efforts with Business Partners to present to potential clients.
- Active community participation and visibility.
- Demonstrates consistent behaviours that support Top of House and department specific strategic goals.
Associated Duties
- Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues.
- Partners with assigned Client Service Managers and designated Business Partners.
- Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Required
- Credit and financial analysis.
- Loan and credit structuring.
- Loan documentation and loan closing processes.
- Specific product knowledge related to Cash Management products and business loan products.
- Knowledge of Consumer and Business banking products/product sales.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field, from an accredited college required. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement. Seasoned professional with minimum of 5-10 years experience. Commercial or Savings Bank experience in lending, operations, deposit management, administration, and/or cash management preferred.
Working Conditions
