I’m currently working with a rapidly scaling, multi-brand e-commerce retailer operating across global online marketplaces. With strong momentum and ambitious growth plans, they’re now looking to appoint a hands-on Finance Director to lead the finance function and partner closely with the senior leadership team. This is a key strategic role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, data-led environments and enjoys getting close to the detail while shaping long-term financial strategy.

The Opportunity

As Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of financial planning, performance analysis, and reporting across the business. You’ll drive profitability, optimise cash flow and inventory investment, and enhance the quality and speed of financial decision making as the company continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Oversee P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting with clear commercial insight
  • Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring robust processes and controls
  • Analyse product and channel performance across Amazon and other e-commerce platforms
  • Partner with marketing, operations, and supply chain on commercial initiatives
  • Improve cash conversion cycles and liquidity management
  • Lead year end and audit processes and establish an internal audit function
  • Implement and enhance financial systems and reporting tools

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven background in high growth, fast moving businesses (e-commerce or Amazon experience highly desirable)
  • Confident, agile leader comfortable with change and ambiguity
