As the Training Support Assistant you will be responsible for providing a variety of support functions to facilitate the delivery of training across a range of Weapons Engineering courses for the Royal Navy. (No previous experience in this area required) Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.**Job title:**Training Support Assistant**Job Description:****What you’ll be doing:*** Supporting the Training Delivery Instructors with Setting up classroom spaces – making sure the practical training spaces have right equipment, the equipment is serviceable, taking apart at the end of the lesson if required* Ensuring Learning spaces are set up in accordance with the training plan.* Ensuring all training equipment is available, in place and serviceable.* Facilitating the transfer of defective training equipment into the repair pipeline and organise the return of repaired equipment into the training pipeline.* Act as Safety Number for a variety of practical lessons* Communicate and represent the needs of Weapons Engineering Training to the Training Delivery Team Leader.**What we’re looking for:****Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications*** Good IT skills in particular Microsoft Excel* Ability to work within a team as well as able to use own initiative* Problem solving experience* Able to lift equipment as and when required**Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications*** Desirable to come from education background – but not essential* Military experience would be desirable, but not essential* Any experience within engineering would be desirable, but not essential**About Selborne**Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN.
