Project Selborne is a transformational training program aimed at modernizing Royal Navy training to deliver \”better trained sailors to the front line faster.\” Your role will be to deliver Welding & Fabrication modules at HMS Sultan.
This role is on a term-time basis, working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks during Christmas, Easter, and August. Salary will be pro-rated accordingly, including contractual leave and holidays.
Due to the nature of this role, UK Security Clearance at SC level is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on Welding & Fabrication training according to the Training Plan and SOPs.
- Support departmental tasks as directed by the Training Manager.
- Keep training materials current and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure trainee wellbeing and development.
- Follow safety and compliance procedures, maintaining CPD records.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Level 3 Technical Certificate in MIG, TIG & ARC Welding
- Proficient in workplace IT hardware/software
- Proven experience in Welding & Fabrication industry
Desirable:
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification or equivalent
- Instructional experience in military or civilian engineering environments
