📍 HMNB Devonport, Plymouth
🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering high-quality training in Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) to support Royal Navy learners
- Acting as a subject matter expert across METOC disciplines, providing technical knowledge and supporting effective training delivery
- Preparing, delivering and assessing training to ensure learners achieve required standards and operational readiness
- Contributing to the design, review and continuous improvement of training materials, courses and assessments
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues to maintain consistent delivery standards and share best practice across the training team
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive and compliant learning environment, with a strong focus on duty of care, health, safety and environmental standards
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Qualification in Meteorology / Oceanography or proven relevant experience
- Proven experience across both meteorology and oceanography
Desirable:
- Instructional or training delivery experience/qualifications
- Anti Submarine Warfare background or knowledge would be highly desirable
- Aviation forecasting experience
