Location: Torpoint, United Kingdom
Employment: Full‑time, 37.5 hours a week, permanent contract
Security Clearance: Eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a line handler / winch operator on the replica ships (Deckhand).
- Serve as a safety number during training.
- Carry out maintenance tasks on training equipment and record implementation of equipment maintenance to meet performance standards.
- Ensure maintenance of all training equipment meets agreed performance standards and maintain documentation.
- Ensure company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
- Support realistic training in at‑sea replenishment, ensuring crews are prepared, capable, and mission‑ready.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience of deck operations within a marine environment.
- Experience handling ropes and winches.
- Knowledge of using Maintenance Management Systems.
- Demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software).
