Join Capita Public Service as a Recruitment & Learning Services Functional Lead. Capita is seeking an experienced Recruitment & Learning Services Functional Lead to lead the design and implementation of Recruitment & Learning Services for a strategic client programme. This is a unique opportunity to shape high-quality service delivery and user experience in a multi-phase transformation initiative.
Reporting to the Capita Operations Workstream Lead, you will lead the development of Capita’s Recruitment & Learning Services service design, ensuring alignment with client requirements and Capita’s solution capabilities. You’ll manage a team of Functional Analysts & SMEs, contribute to the Capita Service Blueprint and Operating Model, and oversee the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and test scripts. Your work will be central to delivering a seamless, user-centric service experience across Capita and its strategic client.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the detailed design and implementation of Recruitment & Learning Services service models
- Collaborate with the End-User Forum to iterate and present service designs
- Ensure seamless integration with external service elements and Capita’s technical solutions
- Manage the development of detailed SOPs and support testing and training preparation
- Oversee the transition plan and dress rehearsals for Recruitment & Learning Services cutover
- Resolve service design issues and support early operational troubleshooting
- Align service design with ERP capabilities and minimise bespoke development
- Facilitate workshops with client and third-party SMEs to integrate service elements
- Support quality assurance and compliance with internal and external service standards
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills & Experience
- Expertise in shared service design and implementation for Recruitment & Learning Services
- Experience in developing SOPs and supporting service testing and training
- Familiarity with ERP platforms and service transition planning
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills across multi-party environments
- Knowledge of Government Digital Service (GDS) methodology and service lifecycle
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP implementations
- Background in phased service transfers and interim service states
- Experience incorporating WCAG 2.2 Accessibility standards into service design
- MSP and/or PRINCE2 certified
- Experience in post-transition hypercare support strategies
