The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis at HMS Sultan, Portsmouth. Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Your role will be to deliver training across the Marine Engineering Mechanical Training group focusing on the diagnosis, repair, operation and maintenance of a ship's auxiliary equipment and systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver Mechanical Marine Engineering training on ship auxiliary systems in line with the Sultan Training Plan.
- Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues within the Marine Engineering Electrical training area.
- Maintain and update training materials, assess coursework, and provide constructive feedback to learners.
- Apply best practice to drive quality improvements across Royal Navy training programmes.
- Ensure learner safety, progression, and achievement of KPIs and SLAs during all training phases, including simulated environments.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to personalise learning journeys and maintain your CPD portfolio.
What we’re looking for:
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
- Competent Mechanical hand skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Any experience in Electrical Engineering would be highly beneficial.

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata'd and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
