Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster. We're looking for someone passionate to join our training team, delivering a mix of classroom-based and hands-on practical training across Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (WOME), Helicopter Handling and Quality Assurance disciplines. This is a varied role where no two days are the same – from teaching in modern learning environments and aircraft hangars to supporting practical training exercises at operational sites across the UK. What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver engaging classroom and practical training across WOME, Helicopter Handling and Quality Assurance courses.
  • Teach and assess students in classroom, hangar and outdoor training environments.
  • Ensure all training is delivered in line with Defence training standards, learning specifications and assessment requirements.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment, following health, safety and wellbeing policies at all times.
  • Prepare classrooms, training equipment and materials to ensure courses run smoothly and safely.
  • Provide constructive student feedback and complete all required course administration and documentation.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert, contributing to course improvements, training design reviews and learning materials.
  • Support wider instructional activities, collaborate with colleagues and travel to other UK locations when required to maintain professional competence.

What we’re looking for:

  • Essential: Previous experience in a military environment working within Aviation (Helicopters).
  • Desirable: Level 3 Certificate in Education & Training (CET) or equivalent (DTTT, DTc).
  • Landing Point Commander/Rigger Marshaller.
  • Heli Handling Instructor.
  • Detailed Knowledge of Weapons, Ordinance, Munitions and Explosives policy and Legislation.
  • Good Knowledge of Fleet Air Arm Quality Assurance systems and policy.
