We are seeking a Pensions Data Technician to join the Scheme Events team at Capita Pensions Solutions. The ideal candidate will have either a mathematics-based qualification with data experience in financial services or technical DB pensions experience.
About the role
This role involves collecting, organizing, and evaluating data to support decision-making and improve business insights. You will work on projects to support and manage data deliverables, making it ideal for someone passionate about data or with technical pensions experience seeking a project-based role.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with senior team members to deliver scheme events and projects, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Maintaining the accuracy and quality of data and project outputs.
- Building relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Reporting risks and breaches promptly to management and compliance departments.
- Reviewing and enhancing existing systems and controls to improve service delivery and reduce risks.
Key tasks:
- Developing reporting processes and policies.
- Preparing reports using analytics tools for internal and external audiences.
- Working with analysts to automate and improve processes.
- Supporting data validation and cleansing using external tools.
- Monitoring data quality and KPIs.
- Understanding customer needs and feedback to improve analytical products.
- Documenting business requirements and analyzing data sets.

Requirements:
Essential:
- A mathematics-based qualification with experience in data management, analysis, or technical pensions.
- Proficiency in Excel, including filters, pivot tables, formulas, and data importation.
