Location: Paisley, Scotland. This full-time role (40 hours per week) requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the delivery of theoretical and practical marine firefighting training instruction
  • Once qualified, become an Instructor and carry out training directly
  • Act as Safety Officer for practical firefighting training
  • Act as Control Room Operator, monitoring safety systems and controlling fire compartment settings and parameters
  • Ensure all training equipment, areas and classrooms are correctly prepared prior to use
  • Provide First Aid response (training provided)
  • Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Maintain documentation, test and calibration records

What we’re looking for:

  • Essential Skills
  • Previous experience within Navy or Fire Service (ideally Royal Navy)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Physically fit and able to wear breathing apparatus and work in extremely hot conditions
  • Proficiency in using IT within the workplace
  • Desirable Skills
  • Experience or knowledge of submarines
