Join our Command Centre at Hillview House, Belfast, as an IT Workshop Engineer and be at the heart of our device build and repair operation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fault-finding, device imaging and working with.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working in a similar hands-on IT repair role
- Strong logical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly identify and implement appropriate remedial actions.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently using own initiative, with minimal supervision.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Motivated and eager to develop and grow technical skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical, logical approach who enjoys working with IT hardware, learning new technologies and contributing to a collaborative team environment while delivering high-quality service to customers.
What you'll be doing:
- Repair and re-image customer IT equipment in line with service requirements.
- Repair spare parts to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained for future customer calls.
- Work closely with support teams, including Logistics, Resource Scheduling and Field Teams, to ensure SLAs are met.
- Check manufacturers' warranty information to maximise free-of-charge (FOC) spare parts and recover labour costs where applicable.
- Build and maintain knowledge of multiple manufacturers and their respective warranty processes.
- Image and customise customer devices to meet specific customer requirements.
- Liaise with wider teams (e.g. Logistics, Schedulers and Field Teams) to resolve customer queries effectively.
- Provide technical support for small and large projects when required.
