Looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? Want to play a part in helping future soldiers begin their Army career? Join the Recruiting Group at Glencorse Assessment Centre, where you'll support candidates attending the Army Assessment Centre by carrying out routine health checks and providing essential administrative support. Full training is provided, no medical experience required.

Location: Glencorse Assessment Centre

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (occasional Saturdays - TOIL provided)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out routine medical screening tests (such as hearing, vision, ECG, height/weight, BMI, lung function and urine tests)
  • Preparing and managing medical paperwork and checking candidate ID
  • Accurately recording results on paper and systems
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and external agencies
  • Completing general admin tasks such as filing, scanning, photocopying and responding to emails

Requirements:

  • Confident using IT systems and happy working with databases
  • Highly accurate with strong attention to detail
  • Able to follow set processes and instructions
  • Comfortable carrying out physical checks on potential recruits
  • Experience within a medical environment is desirable
  • Familiarity with the army would be an advantage
