We're looking for Leisure Attendant to assist the Sports Centre Manager in the smooth running of the centre, taking charge of the site on a daily basis ensuring it provides excellent customer services whilst ensuring the safety of staff and customers. The Leisure Officer will carry out daily tasks which can range from lifeguarding, general running of reception, membership administration, dealing with customers questions, cleaning and first aid. Responsibilities
- The Leisure Officer (LO) will assist the Sports Centre Manager in developing customer relationships, creating a quality customer experience within the centre.
- The LO will ensure the highest standard of customer care & service delivery is achieved within the centre. They will deal with complaints and issues brought to them in an appropriate way and work with the Sports Centre Manager to resolve any issues.
- The LO will carry out lifeguarding duties in line with centre and national standards as part of their daily shift duties.
- Carry out any training required in line with National Guidance to remain competent for role.
- The LO will be required to work shifts including weekends
- The LO will assist the Sports Centre Manager in the management of the centre across shifts to ensure the centre is operational at all times.
- The LO will assist the Sports Centre Manager in a safe way that ensures all customers and staff are able to use the centre with minimal risk to their Health & Safety.
- They LO will lead by example setting standards for visiting zero hour lifeguard staff.
- The LO may be asked to assist in delivery of Centre Swimming Lessons as required.
- The LO will be competent in membership sales and administration.
- The LO will deal with stock and report any shortages to the Sports Centre Manager.
- Work with Sports Centre Manager on new initiatives and ideas.
- The LO will hold a key to the centre and open up and secure centre at the end of shift.
- They will lead by example in all areas of the building, ensuring the centre is a clean, safe environment for both staff & customers.
- They will also provide visible leadership to all centre staff ensuring they are skilled & motivated to complete daily tasks.
- Deliver Gym Inductions and Fitness Testing, giving advice to customers and staff.
About You
- Be in possession or in the process of gaining an RLSS NPLQ qualification.
- Preferred experience within the Leisure industry or other suitable role.
- An interest in sport and the Leisure industry.
- Required to obtain an advanced DBS certificate as part of the process prior to offer.
- Competent swimmer
