We are currently looking for several Leisure Attendants to join the team, based in Moreton In March. We are looking for Leisure Attendants to assist the Sports Centre Manager in the smooth running of the centre, taking charge of the site on a daily basis ensuring it provides excellent customer services whilst ensuring the safety of staff and customers. The Leisure Officer will carry out daily tasks which can range from lifeguarding, general running of reception, membership administration, dealing with customers' questions, cleaning and first aid.

Responsibilities

  • The LO will assist the Sports Centre Manager in developing customer relationships, creating a quality customer experience within the centre.
  • Ensure the highest standard of customer care & service delivery is achieved.
  • Deal with complaints and issues and resolve them with the Sports Centre Manager.
  • Carry out lifeguarding duties in line with centre and national standards.
  • Carry out any required training to remain competent for the role.
  • Work shifts including weekends.
  • Assist the Sports Centre Manager in the management of the centre across shifts to ensure the centre is operational at all times.
  • Ensure safety of customers and staff, minimise health & safety risks.
  • Lead by example setting standards for visiting zero hour lifeguard staff.
  • Assist in delivery of centre swimming lessons as required.
  • Competent in membership sales and administration.
  • Handle stock and report shortages.
  • Collaborate on new initiatives and ideas.
  • Hold key to centre, open and secure at end of shift.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for staff & customers.
  • Provide visible leadership ensuring staff are skilled & motivated.
  • Deliver gym inductions and fitness testing, giving advice.

About You

  • Be in possession or in the process of gaining an RLSS NPLQ qualification.
  • Preferred experience within the leisure industry or similar role.
  • Interest in sport and the leisure industry.
  • Required to obtain an advanced DBS certificate prior to offer.
  • Competent swimmer.
