Recruiting tomorrow’s Army today. Be the best to support the best! You will be supporting our operational teams in Army Careers Centres and the Assessment Centre across the Midlands and Wales. You’ll work closely with people across the business to help develop skills and support career growth, in line with what the business needs. This includes creating and delivering engaging, practical learning that supports people at every stage of their career and encourages them to take ownership of their own development. This is an important role within one of the UK’s largest and most varied recruitment operations. Our focus is on providing a positive and inclusive experience for candidates and customers throughout the recruitment process.
Capita has partnered with the British Army since 2012 to deliver recruitment services. The partnership supports the attraction and selection of officers and soldiers for both Regular and Reserve roles, with a strong focus on quality, volume, and candidate experience. The role involves travel across the Midlands and Wales, with locations ranging from Bangor and Cardiff to Colchester and Nottingham. This is a fixed‑term contract or secondment until 31 March 2027.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering training through workshops, events, classroom sessions, Lunch & Learns and train the trainer sessions
- Supporting line managers with inductions and sign off of learner journeys
- Creating and maintaining learning content and resources to support self development
- Working with managers to support on the job learning and development
- Designing and delivering practical blended learning that meets role and business needs
- Evaluating training effectiveness, impact, and return on investment, and identifying further development needs
- Keeping up to date with learning best practice, tools, and delivery methods
Essential qualifications/skills/experience:
- Experience delivering training across systems, processes, and soft skills
- Proven experience in training needs analysis and turning requirements into clear learning outcomes
- Strong knowledge of modern learning methods, with experience delivering blended learning (face to face and digital)
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communicator and team player with a collaborative approach
- Flexibility to travel across the Midlands and Wales
Desirable qualifications/skills/experience:
- Qualified First Aid trainer
- Military background or experience working with military environments
- Coaching or Leadership qualification
