Job Description:

Do you enjoy helping people, answering questions, and providing excellent customer service? Join our team and play an important role in supporting candidates as they begin their journey towards joining the British Army.

This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 31 March 2027, working 37.5 hours per week, based on-site at our office in Upavon, Wiltshire.

Shift Pattern

This role operates on an 11:00am to 7:00pm shift, making it ideal for those who prefer a later start to the working day.

Being office-based means you'll benefit from hands-on support, in-person training, and the opportunity to build strong relationships with colleagues in a collaborative team environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Answering inbound calls from individuals interested in joining the British Army

  • Responding to candidate enquiries via online webchat

  • Updating and maintaining accurate records on our internal systems

  • Providing clear information about the recruitment process and next steps

  • Escalating issues or queries when appropriate

  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Previous customer service experience, face-to-face or over the phone

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong listening skills with the ability to capture information accurately

  • A patient, empathetic and professional approach

Desirable

  • Familiarity with army careers, would be an advantage
