Join Capita Public Service as an HR & Payroll Services Functional Lead.
What you\’ll be doing
- Lead the creation of Capita\’s Service Blueprint and High-Level Operating Model for HR & Payroll
- Facilitate workshops with client and third-party SMEs to integrate service elements and resolve design conflicts
- Develop detailed service designs with a focus on user experience and operational quality
- Provide input to training and testing teams to ensure alignment with service procedures
- Ensure service design aligns with Capita and ERP solution capabilities to minimise bespoke development
- Present service design updates in the End-User Forum and facilitate stakeholder consensus
- Attend daily stand-ups and cross-functional meetings to support progress and issue resolution
- Respond to client and third-party queries regarding service design alignment
- Support quality assurance and compliance with internal and external service standards
- Lead Payroll Parallel Run exercises to validate service readiness
- Contribute to service transition planning and dress rehearsals
What we\’re looking for
- Extensive experience in leading operational teams in a shared services environment
- Expertise in HR & Payroll service design and operating model development
- Experience in large-scale, multi-party implementation programmes
- Understanding of phased service transitions and interim operating states
- Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) methodology
- Experience in service transition planning and execution
- Ability to align service design with technical solution capabilities
- Experience in Design Authority forums and iterative service design presentation
- Proven track record in service-related testing and post-transition support strategies
- Experience working with global technical delivery partners and ERP consultancies
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 Accessibility standards and testing tools
- Experience in creating Service Blueprints, Operating Models, and SOPs using UX design methodology
