Full‑time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term‑time only basis. Location: HMS Sultan, Portsmouth. Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster – your role will be delivering high quality MESD training, while supporting trainee development, maintaining training documentation, and upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and professional development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver training in MESD modules (Refrigeration / gases / equipment) as directed by the Department Training Manager in accordance with the Training Plan and Sultan Training Standing Operating Procedures.
- Assist in maintaining and updating training documentation.
- Assess student coursework and provide feedback on performance.
- Be responsible for the duty of care and progression of trainees during the delivery of training.
- Ensure company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
- Maintain CPD recordings of all training evidence.
Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in the use of IT (hardware / software) within the workplace.
- Consolidated experience or direct employment in mechanical engineering principles.
Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
- Category 1 FGAS Certification.
- DCTS Defence Train the Trainer Course or equivalent (successful completion).
