Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week at HMS Sultan. Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
The Storekeeper acts as a point of contact for all stores-related queries, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication. The role involves managing stock and training equipment for Royal Navy training courses, including receiving, dispatching, and maintaining accurate records of consumables and equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring inventory levels, conducting audits, issuing tools and materials, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Act as the first point of contact for all stores-related queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Receive, issue, and record stock for training courses, ensuring accurate documentation and audits.
- Monitor inventory levels, maintain sufficient stock for upcoming terms, and request replacements as needed.
- Control the issue of tools and consumables to authorised personnel and maintain record books to a high standard.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures while maintaining cleanliness of stores and surrounding areas.
- Support additional tasks such as stocktaking, VIP visit preparation, and assisting with lifting, waste disposal, and general housekeeping.
